He knows of the diamonds and wants to walk away with the entire fortune. Although Anmol thinks that Anna is just after the prize money there is much more on Anna's mind. Then he, along with his sidekick Chotu (Johny Lever) and Anmol, heads for the US. Anna makes a clandestine deal with Vikrant that he will get rid of Guru for the prize money. Anmol comes to India where he is taken hostage by a local goon Anna (Sunil Shetty). Soon Anmol comes to know of the award on Guru's head and is prodded by his greedy wife (Amrita Arora) to contact Vikrant. Back in India, Vikrant declares a hefty award to anyone who informs him of Guru's whereabouts. Vikrant plays his cards well and gets Guru indicted for a serious crime. Bollywood has a tendency to steal straight out from Hollywood motion pictures, and this film's no different as it borrows mainly and heavily from the excellent ASIN:0790750422 The Whole Nine Yards. But differences grow between Guru and Vikrant. AWARA PAAGAL DEEWANA may tout itself as an action comedy picture but, really, the lame comedy cripples the action aspects of the film. And, according to the don's will, these diamonds should be divided evenly among Guru, Vikrant and Preeti. Arabic, English, Hindi, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese. A big part of the late don's fortune constitutes diamonds worth millions. Hindi-Language Movies, Bollywood Movies, Action & Adventure, Comedies, Dramas. Then there is Preeti (Preeti Jhangiani), Vikrant's stepsister and Guru's wife who is also an equal contender for the wealth. He contends that being the old man's son he should get all his wealth. But the late don's stepson Vikrant (Rahul Dev) thinks otherwise. Everyone is worried about one thing – Who will inherit his legacy? Firstly, there is don's son-in-law Guru Gulab Khatri (Akshay Kumar) who claims that the don loved him like his own son and, therefore, he is the true heir. The don's sudden death creates turbulence in the lives of many people. The film begins with the death of a wealthy underworld don (played by Om Puri).
